Set within the lush greens of the Chandaka forest range, Deras Dam is a peaceful reservoir located about 20 km from Bhubaneswar and 30 km from Cuttack. Built in 1967 as a minor irrigation project, the dam today serves as a scenic water body supporting local wildlife and offering a refreshing escape close to the city.
Surrounded by rolling hills and dense forest, Deras Dam is especially beautiful during sunrise and sunset. Winter months attract nature lovers, photographers, and families looking for a quiet picnic spot or a short weekend break.

The camp offers comfortable, eco-friendly accommodation—ranging from bamboo huts to AC cottages—while maintaining a close connection with nature. It’s ideal for travelers who want forest vibes without compromising on comfort.
